The conference Echanger pour apprendre en ligne (EPAL), organized by the University of Grenoble-Alpes (Lidilem), will hold its sixth edition on June 7, 8 and 9, 2018. The objective of EPAL is to question, in a systemic and multidisciplinary manner (educational sciences, information and communication sciences, linguistics, SLA, psychology, sociology, computer science), the relationship between online or hybrid learning, online verbal interactions that are generated within such environments and the tools that instrument such interactions.

The 2018 edition of EPAL will focus particularly on user pathways. Depending on the environment they function in, users often have the choice between collective or individual learning methods, between formal or informal practices, between the use of “classic” platforms (Moodle, Claroline) or “tailor-made” personal learning environments. Their choices may depend on the degree of their appropriation of digital tools and of their digital literacy. And also, of course, on the degree of learner autonomy that they have developed.

Papers will therefore specifically address one or more of the themes detailed in the call for papers using empirical data collected in the context of field experiments.

As part of a partnership with the IDEFI Numérique ReFlexPro  project (COMUE UGA) (Ressources pour la Flexibilité des formations et la Professionalisation des étudiants - Resources for course flexibility and professionnal skills development), a half-day of workshops will be proposed on Thursday, June 7th from 9am to 12.30pm, which will be based on themes that are common to both ReFlexPro and EPAL. Workshops will focus on MOOCs (production and especially reutilisation), e-portfolios (with a presentation of the Caruta tool) and video CVs. Registration will be free and independent of the registration for EPAL.
